FIREARMS
AND EXPLOSIVES DETECTION DOGS
Wagtail UK train and operate highly trained AES (Arms &
Explosives Search) dogs that can detect an extensive range of
military and commercial explosives, firearms, and ammunition.
The International threat from
terrorism continues. Dogs remain the most reliable and consistent
means of detecting explosives and firearms.
DRUG DETECTION DOGS - PASSIVE, PRO-ACTIVE &
DUAL TRAINED
Our dogs are trained to detect a wide range of illegal
substances that are increasingly found in the workplace. We
train and operate Passive, Pro-Active and dual response trained drug
dogs.
Employers are
increasingly concerned about their employees using supplying or
secreting drugs on their premises with all the Health and safety
implications that may arise from such activity. Specialist detection
dogs are effective in tackling this problem.
PERSONAL PROTECTION DOGS & BIPDT COURSES
The protection of people is as important as the protection of
private, municipal or commercial properties. Dogs have been
protecting people for thousands of years. A Wagtail UK trained
protection dog can be an ideal family pet and also serve as a
deterrent to would-be intruders or aggressors. We are accredited by
the British Institute of Professional Dog Trainers (BIPDT). We
run BIPDT courses
MINE DETECTION DOGS
Dogs that have been trained for humanitarian de-mining can
efficiently identify explosives found in mines. One dog can
clear an area of 500 metres a day compared to one human who
averages only 2-3 metres.
FIRE INVESTIGATION (ARSON) DOGS
These dogs identify accelerants (hydrocarbons), which could have
been used to start a fire thereby assisting the investigating
authorities in determining whether or not a fire was started
deliberately. This kind of dog is in use with several fire
services in the UK.
CADAVER, MOUNTAIN RESCUE, URBAN SEARCH DOGS.
One of the most important tasks a search dog can be trained to do is
the detection of human remains. Missing persons, murder victims, and
people killed by natural disaster. Dogs have been used for many
years with great success to search for bodies. |
