14 January 2011: UK bound illegal immigrants found by detection dogs
Seven illegal immigrants heading for Bolton near Manchester and a further four heading for Weymouth were successfully uncovered by Wagtail detection dogs at Calais this week. The stowaways were discovered hidden in lorries heading for the UK.
Wagtail UK detection dogs and handlers work alongside the UK Border Agency team at the Calais ferry port in northern France. The ongoing working partnership with the UK Border Agency has seen continued success in the UK Border Agency's control of UK borders.
