16 December 2010: 16 illegal immigrants uncovered heading for Crewe

Detection dog 'Buddy' uncovered 16 illegal immigrants hidden amongst car parts heading for Crewe. Buddy a three and a half year old body detection dog working at Calais ferry port is just part of a team of detection dogs working with the UK Border Agency. A further nine Iranian stowaways were later discovered by detection dogs in a lorry bound for Ulverston, Cumbria. The find was reported in The Westmorland Gazette and can be seen here.
